We are excited to announce the fifth annual Intercollegiate Chamber Music Festival! This year's virtual festival will take place on Saturday, March 20 - Sunday, March 21.
Talented musicians from universities across the country will gather virtually for a weekend of workshops with world-renowned professionals, and the opportunity to make music with inspiring peers across institutions. Through performance and conversation, we strive to establish an environment where college musicians can bridge their musical and academic passions in a non-conservatory setting. We are accepting both solo and chamber performances, both live and pre-recorded.
ICMF 2021 participants will attend a virtual masterclass to study with Dr. Magdalena Baczewska. The Masterclass will focus on musicianship and expression, at the same level as one would find in any conservatory master class.
The ICMF 2021 Masterclass will take place on Saturday, March 20, 2021.
Our panel of speakers will provide the audience with the opportunity to hear from leaders at the forefront of modernizing classical music.
We hope to explore the impact of the pandemic on the music industry, and to consider how the musical landscape might be different in coming years.
ICMF 2021 participants have the opportunity to showcase their accomplishments in a culminating virtual concert.
The ICMF 2021 performance showcase will take place on Sunday, March 21, 2021.
